Previously the playpark land was leased from a landowner, which, although this arrangement worked for many years it unfortunately prevented the Parish Council and Wentworth Fundraising Group from applying for grants that were offered by local organisations.
Following negotiations the purchase of the playpark land was finally completed on 16th March 2026. The playpark will be a treasured asset for the Parish of Wentworth and plans are already underway to further maintain and add to it.
